FMOB, packed in smoking 25 yrs ago. Lucky if I get a hand job let alone a jump off Mrs arsegrapes these days, getting old is shit!

Had a hiatal hernia that caused gerd. Terrible when drinking alcohol, had the surgery and it’s totally gone. You pass gas like crazy but it’s worth it.

Had a HH after a camera up both ends 18 months ago,also had a kidney stone by coincidence at the same time.
Got admitted to King George's in agony thought that was me lot only oramorph ? Stopped the agony.
Now take omeprazole twice daily and felt fine as a result,avoid too much curry type stuff and fried grub regular but don't have to be too careful.if on a session been fine drinking Guiness with a few red wines or a drop of brandy.
The damage set in working like a loon,eating shit grub and going on the piss too often.
Those highly enjoyable days seem like a distant fucking memory now.

I have it, or at least they think its an ulcer. Omeprazole seems to have calmed it down
Fuck avoiding all those on that list though, I have to have some sort of life!

Had reflux issues for about two months following a stomach bug, could only drink a tablespoon of water at a time otherwise I would be overcome by nausea. Fucking horrible really, glad it’s passed

Was diagnosed with Hiatus Hernia years ago had quite a few endoscope's have been on Rabeprazole that seems to do the trick.

Yep, had it for years and I don't avoid anything on that list. Fuck that.
I tried pills and they're a waste of time, don't work. Just live with it now, some days better than others. Whatever.

Try to avoid eating at least 2-3 hours before bedtime, try to lay on your left side and with your head slightly raised.
The tablets didn't really work for me, but its just about management of the problem more than anything.

No, but I get reflux quite bad sometimes, usually with certain foods and the booze, so this will probably be coming to me at some point. I'm 34 so hoping to keep it at bay for a bit.
Sounds proper shit as there are a lot of things I enjoy on that list.

I'm certainly prone to the odd bout of nasty heartburn - not keen on the long term use of PPIs - always preferred a Zantac or Two/Rinitidine (but these have been withdrawn of late sadly, and I'm running out of stash!
Some foods it seems to me are bigger triggers than others even within the list you identify, and not eating late at night or eating big meals is also seemingly important.

Lansoprazole in the morning and a swig of Peptac Liquid at night (both prescribed) keeps mine at bay, but also lost some weight and stuck a couple of bricks at the head of my bed!!
Had the camera down the throat to check things prior to the prescribed drugs and bloody hell the thing was like a hosepipe!!

Spot on freaks. I take mine in the morning. Got caught out a few times having an impromptu shant without having taken one early. Not good.

Had it for a few years - think my chilli/hot curry addiction may have been to blame. Omeprazole is your friend but you have to remember to take it way before you have spicy food. Doesn’t work very well afterwards - take Gaviscon if you do.
Also - if you’re a fat cunt, lose some weight. I did and it’s a lot better than is was - went from everyday to only with spicy food. But has been replaced with IBS. He giveth and taketh away

Omeprazole for me also I take a Rennie if I eat something close to bed time, another thing that works is Trebor soft peppermints

Rennie & Gaviscon are total wank. They're like drinking a Fosters or a Carling.
What's the point? Totally ineffective. People spend a fortune on them

Mad dog, that's what my quack has prescribed me, if the reflux doesn't get you the side effects will!
Prop your bed up at the headboard end by about 6-8 inches is what I keep reading. Makes sense, the mrs will be over the moon, or she gets the couch :-)

I suffer from reflux issues.
Been on omeprazole for a few years now.
Its fucking annoying. If I have anything spicy (and I do LOVE a vindaloo) I have to sleep sat upright.
